#3's birthday is in about 10 months and he's already looking forward to eating Chef Boyardee Mac & Cheese.
And in case you were wondering, this is how we're keeping the non-refrigerated food separate. #3's box is the heaviest because of all of the canned goods.
Yuck! Let him have Chef Boyardee Mac & Cheese, as long as the rest of the family gets to eat something way more delicious than that! I can't imagine what that stuff would taste like. *excuse me as I go barf now...* Sorry, I suppose I shouldn't make fun of #3's favorite foods, it is a good thing that there is SOMETHING he likes, even if it's a can full of nasty!
ReplyDeleteMarci, you crack me up! On one hand, it's nice that he's so easy to please, but it makes our family dinners really difficult because he hates almost everything I make. I'm wondering how long it will take him to outgrow this? It's especially frustrating because I love to cook so much and after working so hard, I hear, "Blech! This is disgusting!"
ReplyDeleteI have one gourmand who loves to eat and cook and try new food. He lives to eat! The other is a plain food person and isn't big on red meat. In fact she is a natural lacto-ovo vegetarian: thank goodness for chicken based protein. However, when she was short, she had to obey the three bite rule, and rude comments about food had to be minimal. Now that she is older, she realizes that she just eats to live, is not a foodie, and her running commentary on the general nastiness of food is genuinely hurtful to Mom. It makes me so sad to have made a really tasty and nice meal and her plate comes back with the dutiful three bites gone....what I am saying is that some people are born foodies and some are not. My job is to teach her not to spoil everyone elses meal with negative observations.
ReplyDeleteIf you let your little man eat too much prepped food he might get used to a lot of salt. Just a wise word...
Thanks, Jana! I never buy that canned stuff! When his challenge is over, it's back to eating my "disgusting" food. :-D
ReplyDeleteEw. Ew ew ew ew ew. I'm still having a hard time thinking of mac n cheese coming from a CAN.
ReplyDeleteYour food is full of win. Someday his taste buds will improve. :)
